Where do you start for a start-up? - A Cfe network discussion with Laurence Groux

Event Review: Laurence Groux (aka Elle), is the founder of Laurence Groux Exclusive Luxury Umbrellas, a line of designer Umbrella’s currently available online. Elle originates from Switzerland and has been living in New York City for 18 years. Her creations are a product of her combined passions, artistic talent and her entrepreneurial spirit.  With her start up journey in full swing, Elle kindly offered to speak to us about the trials and tribulations of following your dreams and becoming your own boss, touching on both the business aspects as well as the personable skills required in order to stay driven and achieve your own goals!
A very motivating evening as we heard Elle speak about her journey from the thought of her business idea to successfully                                                                                                            starting her business and how she surpassed all the hurdles in                                                                                                            between.

Northside Innovation Meetup
Northside Innovation in partnership with Kingdom of the Netherlands for a discussion on Going Abroad: Expanding Your Business into New Markets

Event review: Some of the Cfe members attended the Northside Innovation’s discussion on expanding business abroad at Brooklyn Brewery.
The event was partnered up with the Kingdom of Netherlands to celebrate the launch of Northside Amsterdam 2016  Northside’s new sister festival taking place next September in the Netherlands. The event included guest speakers on expanding business to the Netherlands as well as a pitch slam of some new start-ups such as BrandboxIO, ILOST, Usabilla, etc. We met young entrepreneurs who inspired us to look beyond the corporate world and see the opportunities that lie around us. Cfe members were delighted to meet budding entrepreneurs from the US and                                                                                                       Amsterdam with freshly brewed complimentary beer and BBQ.
